Pilates is a system of low impact exercises that stretches and strengthens your muscles, focusing on your core. You will become more aware of your posture and learn how to control and align your body properly. There are huge physical and mental benefits obtained from attending Pilates. An ideal source of exercise for rehabilitation and relief of stress. Maximum of 6 people - 'based in Santé, Esker Glebe' so you can avail of a personal, one to one contact in a safe private environment. Pay by term 5 weeks (13 euro per class). Alternatively, 50-minute classes are 5 weeks at 50 euro. Beginner classes on Mondays at 8.10 - 9.00 p.m. in Stewarts Sports Complex, Palmerstown. 5 weeks at 50 euro per term. You do not have to be a member of Stewarts to join these classes. Intermediate Pilates class Thursdays 7:00 – 7:50 p.m. in Stewarts Sports Complex. Terms are ongoing.
Sculpt lean and tone muscles with these energizing and dynamic moves designed to challenge your body - No dance experience or tutus required! A blend of Pilates, yoga and ballet moves specifically challenging the arms, legs and core to strengthen and lengthen the body.
Exercises using choreographed movement patterns to take you through a flow of high-powered sequences that will challenge and strengthen you. (No high impact moves). Total Barre is incorporated into Pilates class.
Caroline Hogarty and Denise Coughlan set up Cardiac Care in 2009 having complete a British Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation course in Leeds Metropolitan University. New Cardio Care classes will be set up soon by Caroline based in 'Santé, Esker Glebe, Lucan'.
A circuit-based class for older adults that will strengthen your muscles, increase the efficiency of your heart and lungs and work on your balance and flexibility. If you have had a stroke or heart attack or a similar cardiac event you will be in safe hands. Caroline has a qualification in Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation. Class will last 50 minutes. Pay by term usually 6 weeks (8 euro per class).
Experience an holistic Swedish massage, releasing tension from all muscles. You can choose a full body massage.
1 hour at 60 euro or half hour, concentrating on your back/legs or both at 30 euro.
Sante is very conducive to a massage setting. It is set in a warm, cosy log cabin. You will be totally relaxed when you leave.
You can complete your sessions at Sante which is fully equipped for exercise classes and in a private setting or if you prefer I can come to you at a slightly extra cost. Our first session is all about getting to know each other and developing a working relationship. Screening and lifestyle assessment forms will be worked through. We will establish your short, medium and long term goals, fitness assess you and start on our programme.
Sessions last an hour. I will ensure that you will be listened to and we will work as a team to achieve your goals. Each session we will progress you closer to that goal.
Students who have finished the National Council for Exercise and Fitness (NCEF) Level 6 year 1 course must complete a final written and practical exam as part of the syllabus. Any student who is unsuccessful in either of these exams can be privately tutored for their repeat exams in University of Limerick. There has been a 100% success rate with all past students who have had to repeat.
