Sculpt lean and tone muscles with these energizing and dynamic moves designed to challenge your body - No dance experience or tutus required! A blend of Pilates, yoga and ballet moves specifically challenging the arms, legs and core to strengthen and lengthen the body.
Exercises using weights and choreographed movement patterns to take you through a flow of high-powered sequences that will challenge and strengthen you. (No high impact moves). Total Barre is incorporated into Pilates class.
Caroline Hogarty and Denise Coughlan set up Cardiac Care in 2009 having complete a British Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation course in Leeds Metropolitan University. New Cardio Care classes will be set up soon by Caroline.
A circuit-based class for older adults that will strengthen your muscles, increase the efficiency of your heart and lungs and work on your balance and flexibility. If you have had a stroke or heart attack or a similar cardiac event you will be in safe hands. Caroline has a qualification in Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation. Class will last 50 minutes. Pay by term usually 6 weeks (8 euro per class).
Beginner yoga class incorporating breathwork. Poses will help with strength, mobility and stress reduction. Embodied practice places focus on awareness of "you're" body and mind within poses. Students who have finished the National Council for Exercise and Fitness (NCEF) Level 6 year 1 course must complete a final written and practical exam as part of the syllabus. Any student who is unsuccessful in either of these exams can be privately tutored for their repeat exams in University of Limerick. There has been a 100% success rate with all past students who have had to repeat.
